Willow Creek

A Toast to South Africa's First Balsamic Style Cabernet Sauvignon Vinegar

Willow Creek Estate is pleased to announce the release of the first-ever Balsamic style Cabernet Sauvignon Vinegar produced in South Africa.

This unique vinegar is handcrafted naturally in small batches on the Estate in the Nuy Valley using only the finest available Cabernet Sauvignon wine. And the proof is in the tasting: lingering full, ripe berry aromas on the palate and a fine balance between acidity and sweetness.

Unlike modern-day production methods that cater for the age of instant gratification, patience is rewarded in the making of Willow Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Vinegar.  It is aged slowly over months in oak barrels using the 500-year-old French Orleans method – a slow and delicate process of conversion from wine to vinegar, defining the art of superior vinegar making.

This culinary masterpiece can be used with confidence as accompaniment in countless dishes, including carpaccio, fruits, cheeses and even desserts. It is sure to turn poached pears and panna cotta into a pièce de resistance! Combine Willow Creek’s oak matured Cabernet Sauvignon Vinegar with their acclaimed cold extracted Extra Virgin Directors’ Reserve Olive Oil for the ultimate culinary coup.

Willow Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Vinegar is available in an elegant 500ml imported bottle at R55.  Delectable gift packs that tastefully combine 250 ml Willow Creek Directors’ Reserve  Extra Virgin Olive Oil with 250 ml Cabernet Sauvignon Vinegar are available at leading retailers from R79 – a match made in heaven, and the ideal gift for the aspiring chef!
